A World of Cat Breeds

In just over 100 years, humans have created a number of cat breeds through breeding and cross breeding. Many of these feline breeds are now recognized by the Cat Fancier's Association, International Cat Association, Canadian Cat Association, Amercian Cat Fanciers Association, Australian Cat Federation, United Feline Organization, Traditional and Classic Cat International and many international Cat Fancier type organizations.

Cat breeds can vary in color: solid, tortie, smoke point, tabby point, tortie tabby, silver tabby, silver tortie, bi-colour, white, tipped, shaded, van, colourpoints, non agouti. Feline hair coat can be catagorized as long hair and short hair.
